Buell D. Lester, 89, went to be with his Heavenly Father at 4:00 P.M., on December 31, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer. Buell was born October 1, 1912, at Comanche, Oklahoma, to Christopher C. and Ona M. Lester. He retired from the Oklahoma Publishing Company in 1977 after 31 years of service. He was a member of Rancho Village Baptist Church. Buell was an avid Sooner football fan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Viola H. Lester; three daughters, Mignon Lester, Marietta, OK, Rachael Peters, Marietta, OK, Melisande Lester Teasley, Kansas City, MO and her husband, Wayne, whom Buell and Viola consider their son; grandchildren, Shawna Arni and husband, Shawn, Lee's Summit, MO, Christopher T. Teasley and wife, Sara, Boston, MA; two great-grandsons, Mitchell Arni and Noah Arni, who absolutely delighted him; brothers, Duane and Margaret Lester, Naples, FL, Dr. Russell and Virginia Lester, Waco, TX; nephew, Dr. & Mrs. Stacy Holmes, Oxford, MI; and by his faithful, furry companion, Sadie Sue.
