Elizabeth (Betty) Eva Flannery 59, of Hamden passed away early Friday morning, December 25, 2015 at home in Hamden.

Betty was born December 14, 1956 in Delhi, the daughter of the late Bernard and Johanna (Schoenberg) Flannery. She was a graduate of Delaware Academy, class of 1975. She attended SUNY Cobleskill studying in Early Childhood. Betty was employed for over 30 years at Countryside Care Center as a CNA. She enjoyed crocheting, reading fantasy and science fiction, and spending time with her family, especially the children.

Betty is survived by her loving family; her sisters Evelyn Flannery, of Hamden; Rose Flannery, of Oneonta: her nephews and niece, Paul (Kelly Gladstone) Gray, of Hamden, Travis Gray, of Delhi, and Debra (Ryan) Demidon, of Cayuga; and her great nephews and nieces, Alex, Kaspar, Carter, Kassidy, and Hali.

Calling hours will be Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Paul's residence, 35885 State Route 10, Hamden from 6-8PM. Service will be Friday, January 1 at 1 PM, at the Hamden Presbyterian Church, State Route 10, with Marsha Muller, officiating . Burial will follow at the Croton Union Cemetery, Treadwell. Arrangements are with the Courtney Funeral Home, Walton.
