The Funeral Service was held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 5, 2021 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. The Rev. Billy Holloway, Rev. Richard Brown and Rev. Paul Shadburn officiated. Interment followed at Oakland Community Cemetery, Lawrenceville Georgia.
Johnny was an active Deacon of the Lebanon Baptist Church for more than 40 years. He retired from the Doraville, Georgia General Motors Assembly Plant.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports with his son and grandson. He was always know to have a large summer garden.
Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Carter; parents, Parks and Bertha Carter; brother, J.W. Carter; sisters, Mary Lou Weaver and Ruby Dean Weaver. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Mike and Norma Carter of Lawrenceville, Georgia; grandson, Brad Carter of Lawrenceville, Georgia.
