Newton- Betty Sue Setzer Geiger 80 passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba Valley.
She was born November 9, 1930, the daughter of James and Lina Lester Setzer. She was a graduate of Sherills Ford High School, CVCC and was retired from the Brian Center in Hickory. She enjoyed collecting Jewelry and shopping. Betty being devoted to her family she loved to be at home during the holidays.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband Robert Geiger and a brother, Albert Setzer.
Survivors include her children, Bobby Geiger of Mint Hill, Jimmy Geiger and wife, Darlene of Hickory, Linda Geiger of Newton and Lina Bailey and husband, Vince of Conover; her brother Jim Setzer of Maiden; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held 2 PM Sunday, March 6th at Catawba Funerals and Cremations by Pastor Jesse Boyd. Burial will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.
