A native of Cherokee County, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Lillie Petty Griffin. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Lockhart and was a retired nurse's aide at Wallace Thomson Hospital.
Survivors include two brothers, Louis Griffin of Spartanburg and the Rev. Jesse Griffin of Lockhart. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Union Memorial Gardens, conducted by the Rev. Calvin Smith. The family will receive friends in the cemetery immediately following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lockhart First Baptist Church, P.O. Box 190, Lockhart 29364.
