An elderly man and woman were killed shortly before 5 p.m. Friday just north of Manitowoc when their car apparently went through a stop sign and collided with a truck.
Knight E. Hallock, 88, the driver of the car, and a passenger, Esther Kimbrough, 82, both of Manitowoc, were pronounced death on arrival at Holy Family Medical Center by Manitowoc County Coroner Marion Cumming.
The fatal accident occurred at Manitowoc County Highway Q and Wisconsin Highway 310.
According to a Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department report, Hallock's car was pushed into the path of a second car after being struck by the semi-trailer truck. The driver of that car suffered minor head injuries.
The names of the drivers of the truck and the second car were not released.
No citations were issued.
