Teri Jean Brodie Smith, 50, passed away suddenly late Saturday evening following a severe asthma attack. Originally from southern California, she served in the United States Navy Medical Corps during the Vietnam War.
She relocated to Utah in 1991 to pursue a job opportunity. Since her move, she became a very active LDS member, including being a member of the Relief Society, the choir, and becoming a primary teacher. She was employed at Burrelle's, as well as being an Avon and Watkins representative.
She was an avid collector of teddy bears and antiques. Teri enjoyed the outdoors, musicals, and golden oldies. She was particulary fond of children and animals as they were particulary fond of her.
She is survived by her husband, Lawrence David Smith, her daughter Erika Terzani of Colorado; her step-daughters, Lisa Anne Nielson, Michelle Singleton, Julianne Smith, and Anne Marie Smith; her step-sons, Matt Smith of Texas, and Kevin Smith; her step-grandchildren, Mellissa, Derrick, Jane, Mary, Stockton, and Jaxson; her brother Mark Brodie of Michigan; and her Aunt Virginia Mramor of California. She was preceded in death by her step-grandson, Jason Smith.
Funeral services will be Thursday, October 12, 2000, at 11:00 a.m. in the Garden LDS 6 Ward, 745 N. 600 Pleasant Grove; where friends may call one hour prior to the services. Burial, Pleasant Grove Cemetery, under the direction of Anderson Sons Mortuary. She will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all those whose lives she had touched.
