Ann Chicora Dreher Bowman TEGA CAY - Ann Chicora Dreher Bowman "Nannie" of Tega Cay, SC, died peacefully in her sleep on December 26th. Mrs. Bowman was a daughter of Ryan W. Dreher and Nannie Willingham Dreher. She was a graduate of Brooland-Cayce High School and Draughon's Business College. She worked with her late husband in their family business, Bowman Hollis Mfg. Co. which they started in 1945. The company is now owned by their children and Mrs. Bowman was still active in the business when her health allowed. She was a member of Steele Creek Presbyterian Church since 1961, a member of the Billie Watt Sunday School Class and served on various committees throughout the years. She was a member of the Ladies Golf Association at Carolina Golf and Country Club for many years and everyone heard about her hole-in-one. She and Harry were members of Hound Ears Country Club in Blowing Rock, NC, and spent many years there with friends and family at their mountain home. Mrs. Bowman was a member of Steele Creek Eastern Star Chapter #737 and had received her 60 year pin in 2015. She was a member of the DAR, a volunteer at the Presbyterian Hospital and an avid reader. She was also an avid supporter of anything her children, grandchildren or great-grandchildren were participating in - from dance recitals to sporting events. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Brooks Bowman. They had been married for 55 wonderful years. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Alice Amburn & husband Edward Amburn, her brothers, Walter C. Dreher and wife Edith, and Thomas H. Dreher who was killed in WWII and received two purple hearts. She is survived by her sons, Thomas H. Bowman & wife Lisa and Russell D. Bowman & wife Allison; her daughter, Deborah Price & husband Jim; her grandchildren, Robert Price & wife Danielle, Heather P. Cox & husband Brian, Ashley P.Maness & husband Jamie, Katie B.Lopez & husband Paul, Gina B. Wynn & husband Joel, Sam Bowman & wife Shannon, and Daniel Bowman and Austin Bowman; her great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Price, Tanner Maness, Dylan Price, Jacob Maness, Caleb Cox, Travis Cox, Justin Cox, Bowman Lopez and Carter Lopez. She is also survived by a niece, Pinky A. Hipp & husband Ed, and nephew, Ryan Amburn. Funeral service will be at 11:00 Saturday, January 2nd at Steele Creek Presbyterian Church, 7407 Steele Creek Road, Charlotte, NC, with the Dr. Jeffrey Pinkston officiating. The family will receive at 10:00 at the church before the funeral service. Burial will be at 2:30 on Saturday at Mt. Hermon Lutheran Church, 3011 Leaphart Road in West Columbia, SC, with Rev. Dr. Richard Campbell officiating. She requested that any memorials be made to Steele Creek Presbyterian Church or the charity of your choice .
