Marion was married to the late Robert Roosevelt Marshall. Their union was blessed with six children. She was educated in the public schools of South Carolina. Mrs. Marshall worked at Columbia College, from where she retired after many years. She was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Columbia, where she served faithfully until her health failed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Marshall, of 63 years; children: Peggy Cain, Catherine Davis, Robert Marshall Jr. and Irene Griffin; and her sister, Armentia Wigfall.
Those left to cherish her precious memories are her two daughters, Edith (Suber Jr.) Whitener of Columbia, South Carolina and Shirley Rollins of Roseville, Michigan; a niece, Patricia Wigfall; her loving godson, Darien Watson of Atlanta, Georgia; many grands, great-grands, great-great grands and great-great great grandchildren; and other loving relatives and friends, as well as her devoted caregiving staff at White Oak Manor.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11 AM at Bethel A.M.E. Church.
