Allen A. Allard, Age 90, of Portage, IN passed away Monday, December 28, 2015.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Bean) and five children; Patti (Willem) van der Have of Florida, Rick Allard of Georgia, Mark (Cheryl) Allard of Oregon, Susan (Dennis) Kilgore of Portage and Kelly (James) Wilkie of Texas, 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, six great great grandchildren, sister Alberta Hybarger and sister in law Dolores Bean.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Arthur Allard, grandparents, Alvina and Albert Koepke and brother Aaron Allard.

Allen was born in Gary, IN. He graduated from Tolleston School in 1944 and a Portage resident since 1956.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, served in WWII with the 65th Division; 720th Field Artillery for 2 years.

Allen was employed as an Iron Worker, Local #395 for 8 years, a carpenter, Local 1005 for over 60 years, retiring in 1988.

He was an avid golfer, bowler, and fisherman and repaired and built custom fishing rods.

Allen was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Portage.
