Barbara J. (Touranjoe) Haas, 78, of Eastwood, died peacefully at her home on Tuesday morning She was a graduate of Valley High School and Oswego State University. She retired as the Director of Operations at the Onondaga County Board of Elections and was a former school teacher. She was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and a volunteer with the Outreach Program, particularly the Food Pantry. She was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to all who were lucky enough to know her. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Laura Valait Touranjoe. Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Robert, and their four beautiful children: Todd (Kim) of Eastwood, Stacey (Fred) Harris of Webster, Susan (Bill) Sperger of Lansing, John (Agnes) of Cicero; brother, Jim (Dolores) Touranjoe of Liverpool; six fantastic grandsons: Ryan and Casey Harris, Kyle and Jason Haas, Samuel Haas and Zackary Sperger; as well as, several wonderful nieces and nephews. The Funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Mausoleum. Calling hours are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Goddard-Crandall-Shepardson Funeral Home, 3111 James Street. Memorial contributions may be made to Blessed Sacrament Church Outreach Program, 3127 James Street.
