Former Muncie resident Jack L. Wagoner, 52, Sacramento, Calif., died Saturday in Kaiser Foundation Hospital there.
He was born in Muncie and attended Garfield Elementary School here and Staunton Military Academy in Virginia. He graduated from Central High School.
Mr. Wagoner was associated with his father, Clarence Wagoner, in the management of Magic City Oil Co. and later ran the Lone Pine Parking Lot on the southwest corner of Jackson and High streets.
He moved in 1963 to Phoenix, Ariz., where he operated a shoe store. He lived in LaJolla, Oceanside and Eureka, Calif., before moving to Sacramento in 1985. He had been associated with Regional Transit, a motor transit company, since moving there.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Jean Best Wagoner; a son, Kevin Wagoner, Yokosuka, Japan; a daughter, Kathy Mohtashaemi, San Jose, Calif.; two grandchildren, Natali and Brian Mohtashaemi, San Jose; his mother, Evelyn Jackson Wagoner, Muncie; two sisters, Shirley (Mrs. Ray) Graves, Bradenton, Fla., and Virginia (Mrs. John) Hottinger, Muncie, and a brother, Robert Wagoner, Denver, Colo.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Meeks Mortuary Chapel, with Pastor Collins Glenn presiding. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum. Calling at the mortuary is 6 to 9 p.m. today.
