Mrs. FLORENCE ETTA SCHAEFFER, widow of Edward Thomas Schaeffer, died at her home, 254 Carroll Parkway, Friday night after an illness of several years, aged 76 years. She was a daughter of the late John J. and Susan McDevitt Cutsail.
She was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, King's Daughters Bible Class of the church school. The Women's Christian Temperance Union and Frederick Chapter 79, Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Schaeffer, last of her immediate family, is survived by the following children: Mrs. Bessie S. Schwartz and Mrs. Merle Leather, Frederick; Mrs. James E. Richards, Silver Spring; Thomas J. Schaeffer, Chambersburg, Pa.; Mrs. James H. VanFossen, at home; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the M.R. Etchison and Son Funeral Home; interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
