Son of Meredith and Martha Colson Anderson. Archie Otis Anderson was born near Urich, Mo. He died at Trinity Lutheran hospital in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 53 years, 1 month and 29 days. Mr. Anderson was united in marriage with Mary Leta Middleton at Urich, Mo., December 24, 1913. To this union 3 children were born. They are Mr. Urban W. Anderson (Phyllis), Mrs.Erma Katherine Anderson Herrell (Leonard J.), and Mrs. Bonnie Jean Anderson Branson (John K.) At the time of his death, the two daughters were living at home for the duration of the war while their husbands were in the service, both being overseas. Besides his immediate family, he is survived by his mother, Mrs. Martha J. Angle; three brothers, Arthur, Earl and Rhote Anderson; Also, a half-sister Mrs. Nina Thompson of Louisiana, and a half-brother Weslie Anderson now in the armed forces. Soon after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson established their home on a farm near Ballard, where they resided until 1933. The family then moved to their farm 3 miles east of Adrian, where they resided until his death. Mr. Anderson had been in failing health for several years. He was a good neighbor, and in his lifetime had many friends and retained their friendship. His life will be a memory to those who held him in high esteem.
