1926 – 2015
Rebecca Harris Hay Ball, 89, of Catlettsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 29, 2015, at Jo Lin Health Care Center in Ironton, OH.
Ms. Ball was born February 14, 1926, in Boyd County, KY, daughter of the late William McKinley and Carlie Queen Harris. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Walter F. Hay, and Roy F. Ball of 16 years, and a brother James Harris.
She leaves behind one daughter Bonnie (Wes) Robbins, three grandchildren; Wes Jr (Mary) Robbins, Becky Robbins, and Kelly (Anthony) Rice all of Catlettsburg. Three great grandchildren; Sarah and Trey Robbins, Liberty Rice and JD Rice. Niece Carolyn Bartlett of Texas and nephew James “Buddy” Harris of Virginia.
She was a member of Catlettsburg Southside Church of the Nazarene in Catlettsburg. She enjoyed shopping, yard work and spending time with her family. She will be tenderly remembered for her outgoing personality and fun lovin’ spirit.
Funeral service for Ms. Ball will be at 1:00pm, Thursday December 31, 2015, at the Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home, Panola Street, Catlettsburg. Pastor Jim Webster will officiate. Final resting place in Catlettsburg Cemetery. Visiting hours are 11:00am until service time Thursday at the Funeral Home.
