Mrs. Anne White Davis Morgan, age 89, died Tuesday December 29, 2015, at her daughter’s residence in Savannah under the care of Gentiva Hospice.

Anne was born in Savannah but raised on Dafuskie Island, SC. She returned to Savannah to live with family and to complete high school.

In 1944, Anne married James Harold Davis and the two soon made their home in Statesboro. She began her career with Brooks Instrument in the early 1950’s, where she worked for over 30 years until her retirement in the mid 1980’s.

In the late 1960’s Anne met Bob Morgan at church and the two married in 1968; he preceded her in death in 2010.

Anne was a charter member of the Statesboro Bible Baptist Church where she was active in many capacities as long as her health allowed.

Additionally she was preceded in death by a great grandson, Wyatt Morrison.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Charles Roach of Savannah; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Marian Davis of Folkston; five grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and several other extended family members including a step son, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday from 11:00am until noon in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home in Statesboro.

Funeral services will follow the visitation at noon with Pastor Jon Edmisten officiating.
Interment will be in the Bulloch Memorial Gardens.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Statesboro Bible Baptist Church, 889 Hwy 24 Statesboro, Georgia 30458 or Ogeechee Area Hospice, P.O. Box 531, Statesboro, Ga. 30459.
