He was a U. S. Army veteran, entering in 1954 when he was 16 years old with the approval of his father. His boot camp training as a paratrooper was at Camp Drum in NY thereafter being stationed in Germany and seeing action in Lebanon. He was honorably discharged in 1957. His Service #RA21197524.
He is survived by two children Sheri Lynn Jansen and Rick Ronald LaGace both of Maine, a sister Doris Levasseur of Tucson, AZ and Mrs Lawrence (Connie) Russell of NH; and his grandchildren.
