Born in Providence, he was a son of Virginia (Burr) Farrell of Narragansett and the late Joseph Farrell.
Mr. Farrell was a self- employed carpenter, working in the south county area most of his life. Besides his mother, he is survived by three children, Francis Farrell, Jr., Kristen Farrell, and Kathryn Farrell, all of South Kingstown; a granddaughter, Virginia Farrell; two brothers, Jeff Farrell of Narragansett and Patrick Farrell of Hope Valley; and three sisters, Peg Skuce of South Kingstown, Ginny Balano of South Kingstown and Katie Farrell of Charlestown.
A committal service was held Monday at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Exeter.
Visiting hours were held at the Avery-Storti Funeral Home, 88 Columbia Street, South Kingstown, on Sunday evening.
