Like most people of his generation, Leslie was a proud farmer. He loved working on the farm with his brother, Burl, and especially loved raising corn and tobacco. He also enjoyed working in wood.
Leslie attended Mountain City Church of God.
Leslie is survived by his brother, Burl Stout; sisters, Lois Sluder and husband Alvin, and Faye Woods and husband Truman; several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6 - 8:00 p.m. at the Mountain City Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the funeral home with Pastor Donnie Cox and Gary Hill officiating. Graveside service and burial followed from the Dunn Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Jason Stout, Chris Stout, Pat Conville, Joey Dixon, Truman Woods and William Sluder. Honorary pallbearers were Alvin Sluder, Keith Wilson, Junior Martian, Selmar Potter, Buddy Dowell and Howard Williams.
At other times, the family will receive friends at the home, 3281 Fall Branch Road, Mountain City, TN 37683.
