LaBarbara Elmira Gibbs Stanfield passed away at her son's home in Richland, Washington February 8, 2012 at age 87. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milo Lynn Stanfield Sr., and her daughter, Joy.

LaBarbara was born in Ogden, Utah on November 2, 1924, and grew up in California, where she was the valedictorian of her high school class. After high school, she worked for the telephone company. She was eventually transferred to Idaho, where she met and married Milo Stanfield.

Later they moved to Richland where they raised their eight children: Elaine, Caroline, Milo Lynn, Jr., Anita, Joy, Laurene, Louisa, and Janet.

Throughout her life, LaBarbara enjoyed studing the scriptures, baking, sewing, gardening, and providing service to her church and community. She was a member of the Richland Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

A private dedicatory service at Sunset Memorial Gardens was attended by all her surviving children and many of her 38 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
