Eva C. Hunt, 91, of Locust Grove passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015. Born in Swansea, Mass., to the late Maria and Amos Correia, Eva graduated from Joseph Case High School in Swansea, and attended Bryant College. Before moving to Locust Grove, she lived in Alexandria and worked at the Pentagon for many years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Arthur Francis Hunt, and all of her five siblings.
She is survived by her two children, MaryBeth Hunt Newton of Columbus, Ohio, and John Arthur Hunt of Cleveland, Ohio. Eva is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher Newton of Carolina Beach, N.C., Peter Newton (Melissa) of Powell, Ohio, Patrick Newton of Portland, Ore., John Arthur Hunt Jr. of White Plains, N.Y., Charles Hunt of Cleveland, Ohio and Claire Hunt of New York City; and four great-grandchildren, Evan, Grace, Celeste and Grant.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Alzheimer's Association .
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Services, Fredericksburg Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax.
