Lakota Rae Renville, daughter of Julie Keeble Watts and stepdaughter of Norman K. Watts, died Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005, in Kansas City.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 24, at the Tribal Community Center, Agency Village, S.D. Interment was in St. Matthew's Catholic Church Cemetery, Veblen, S.D. Arrangements were under the direction of Cahill Funeral Chapel, Sisseton, S.D.

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- A driver found a woman's body near Highway 40 and Pitcher Road Sunday morning.

Police said the motorist found the naked body wrapped in a roll of carpet padding. Officials identified her as 22-year-old Lakota Rae Renville. Her cause of death is under investigation.

Officials said Renville moved to the metro area two years ago from a reservation in North Dakota.

No arrests have been made. Police said they are looking for a brown Ford Explorer with Missouri license plates. It was described as an early 1990s model.
