RUSHING, EDWARD ZACH "E.Z." A retired electrical foreman for Ethyl Corp. and a resident of Baton Rouge, he died Sunday, Jan. 25, 2004, at Zachary Manor Nursing Home. He was 83 and a native of Denham Springs. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Visiting was at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday with recitation of the rosary at 6:30 p.m. Visiting at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church from noon until Mass at 2 p.m. Tuesday, conducted by the Rev. Michael Collins. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his wife, Judith Marie Rushing; two daughters and sons-in-law, Emily and Al Delaney and Jeanette and Charles Milne; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edward Mark and Sharon Rushing, Timothy John and Nadine Rushing and Steven and Lois Rushing; two sisters-in-law, Lydia and Maydee Rushing; 12 grandchildren and a great-grandson. Preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Julia Rushing; sisters, Ila R. Cockerham, Ellen R. Cooper and Melissa R. McManus; and brothers, Nervil, Dewey, Preston, Ray, Arter, Bartley and Hatten Rushing. Pallbearers will be Scott and Todd Delancy, Charles Jr. and Brian Milne, Anthony, Paul, Carl and Edward Rushing. Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Rushing.
