Darryl D. Warren, 78, of Topeka, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at a Topeka hospital. He was born October 2, 1937 in Topeka, the son of Charles and Ruby Warren.

Darryl graduated from Topeka High School. He earned a BS Degree in Pharmacy from the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!). He was the Chief of Pharmacy at Memorial Hospital for 26 years. He later was employed by St. Francis Hospital prior to retiring. He was a member of Terra Heights Baptist Church. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, served as treasurer for Hunters Education and was a member of Capitol Post No. 1 of the American Legion.

Darryl married Nancy Hammond on June 28, 1963 in Topeka. She survives. Other survivors include their children, Stephanie Ellen Patterson, Heather Ann Siemens, Nathaniel Ethan Warren, Heidi Elise Thies, eight grandchildren and one sister, Phyllis Cline.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Penwell-Gabel Southeast Chapel. Burial will follow in Carbondale Cemetery.Darryl will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at the funeral home.
