Mansfield was found by a young man who happened to be in the Water Street-Wisner Street area at the time. The man called police, who investigated along with the Deputy Medical Examiner. The examination disclosed the cause of death as heart failure.
Mansfield was born in Martinsburg, WV, a son of the late Newton and Flora Luttrell Mansfield. He was employed at the Hillside Coal Company several years ago. He had lived here the last 33 years.
Surviving are two brothers, Frank and Wesley Mansfield, a sister, Mrs. Lewis Hurst, and three nephews.
Interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. C.E. Cline and Son, funeral directors.
