PEKIN ~ Tina Harris, 71, of Pekin, passed away at 9:24 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born June 29, 1944 in Pekin to Alex Konstantine and Garifalo “Gary” (Nouaros) Harris. Her parents and two brothers, John Harris and Konstantine A. “Deano” Harris; and long-time companion, Casper Boom, preceded her in death

Surviving are her sister-in-law, Jeanette Harris of Pekin; two nephews, Alex John (Meredith) Harris of Ridgefield, CT and Philip John Harris of Peoria; one niece, Andrea (Corey) Enderle of Germantown Hills; and six great-nephews and great-nieces, Allie Lindsey of Peoria Heights, Grace Harris of Peoria, Melissa Harris of Ridgefield, CT, and Jonathan Enderle, Noah Enderle, and Evan Enderle, all of Germantown Hills.

A homemaker, Tina was a teacher’s aide at Holiday School in Pekin during the 1960’s. She also taught art classes at the Pekin YWCA.

She was a member of All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria, the Holy Cross Society and was a longtime member of the church choir.

Tina enjoyed painting, ceramics, and her Red Hat Society group. She was a cat lover and had many throughout the years. She loved her niece, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2015 at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria. Father Ciprian Sas will officiate. Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
