BROOKLYN — Ruth M. Ross, age 85, died Thursday, September 20, 1984, at the Skaalen Sunset Home in Stoughton, after a long illness.
The former Ruth M. Bethke was born on June 5, 1899, in Germania, Wisconsin. She married Eric Ross on October 18, 1919; he preceded her in death in 1966. She had been a resident of Brooklyn all of her married life and was a charter member of the Brooklyn Lutheran Church and also a member of the Brooklyn Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by one son, Robert and wife Jeanette of Brooklyn; one daughter, Mrs. Sylvan (Eunice) Martin of Stoughton; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Donald.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 1984, at 11:00 a.m. at the BROOKLYN LUTHERAN CHURCH in Brooklyn with Pastor Elizabeth Zentner officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Brooklyn. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Brooklyn Lutheran Church Ladles Aide in lieu of flowers.
