John E. Wadzinski, 80, of 2014 Columbus St., Manitowoc, died Sunday morning, April 27, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate and burial will be in St. Casimir Cemetery, Northeim.
Mr. Wadzinski was born June 30, 1899, in the Town of Centerville, son of the late Frank and Anna Jagodinski Wadzinski. He was a Manitowoc County resident all his life and married Celia D. Kolpacki Oct. 24, 1922, at St. Casimir Catholic Church. Prior to moving to Manitowoc in 1972 they had resided at Newton, where they owned and operated the Newton Meat Market for 28 years. Mr. Wadzinski was a member of the Fraternal order of Eagles Aerie 706.
Survivors include his wife, Celia, a son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Betty Jane Wadzinski of Manitowoc and a daughter and son-in-law LaVerne and jerry Wetenkamp of newton; three brothers, Edwin of Route 1, Cleveland, Frank of Green Bay and Edward of Pound, six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Four brothers and five sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Monday, where a prayer service will be at 7 o'clock.
