The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Roman Zbieranski, O.F.M.
on Friday, December 26, 1997, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc,
with burial in St. Casimir's Cemetery, Northeim, Wis.
Rita was born February 10, 1955, in Manitowoc, daughter of Alice Gospodarek
Tomchek and the late Benjamin F. Tomchek. She was a graduate of Riverview School,
Manitowoc. Rita worked at Holiday House for 20 years and was a member of St.
Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include her mother, Alice Tomchek, Manitowoc; two brothers, Gary (Nancy)
Tomchek, Manitowoc, Alan (Pat) Tomchek, Waukesha; one sister, Mary Tomchek, Seattle, Wash.; one sister-in-law, Sheryl Neal, Clinton, Utah; nieces, nephews, other
relatives and many friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her father;
one brother, John Tomchek; one sister-in-law, Mary Grace Tomchek.
Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Friday, from 10 a.m. until the time
of Mass at 11 a.m.
The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral
arrangements.
A special thank you to the nurses and aides of the Alzheimer's unit of St. Mary's
Home for the special and compassionate care they gave Rita.
