Michael ‘Mike’ R. Zych
Michael “Mike” R. Zych, age 58, of 1325 N. 8th St., Manitowoc, died Monday afternoon, Jan. 30, 2006, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
He was born June 2, 1947, in Manitowoc, son of the late Stephen and Marcella Schuler Zych. Mike was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He was employed at Tecumseh, New Holstein, and also at Manitowoc Engineering.
Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: Thomas and Rachael Zych, Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law: Ann and Allen Vander Bloomen, Manitowoc, two aunts: Petronella Schneider, Manitowoc; Marion Schuler, Chilton; and nieces and a nephew: Christine Vander Bloomen, Valders, and her children: Stephen and Sally, Allan Vander Bloomen Jr., Manitowoc; Jennifer and Patrick Schiffman, Fitchburg, and their daughter: Hailey. Other relatives and friends also survive.
A Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton. Officiating at the Memorial service will be the Rev. Dave Beaudry. Cremation has occurred with burial of the cremated remains at St. Casimir Cemetery, Newton, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community, Newton, from 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8, 2006, until the time of the memorial service at 7 p.m.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
The family wishes to thank Manitowoc County Social Services for all their help to Mike these last several years.
