STINNETT - Merle L. Bentley, 79, died Friday, Aug. 28, 1992 in Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo.
Services are pending with Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
A native of Groom, he had been a Stinnett area resident for 60 years. He was a farmer and rancher.
He married Lucille Robertson in 1962 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Survivors include his wife; a stepson, Larry Womble of Amarillo,; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

STINNETT - Funeral services for Merle L. Bentley 79, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains in Borger with the Rev. Leonard Forsythe, pastor Bible Baptist Church, officiating.
Mr. Bentley will lie in state at Brown's Memorial Chapel in Stinnett until Sunday evening and will lie in state at Brown's Chapel of the Fountains in Borger Monday morning.
Burial will be in Lieb Cemetery by Ed Brown & Sons Funeral Directors.
