Rose, OK- Funeral services for Judith Ann Barnett will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Lowery Freewill Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, OK with Maxie Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 from noon until 6:00 PM at Reed-Culver Chapel in Tahlequah, OK. Interment will be held at Elm Cemetery in Leach, OK.

Pallbearers for Judy include Stevie Brickey, Micheal Back, James (Punk) Morrsion, Shane Morrison, Marty Ward, Anthony Forrest, Chris Watkins, and Kenny Barnett.

Judith Ann Brickey-Barnett was born on September 3rd, 1942 in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Eura and Lois (Rogers) Brickey. Judy, along with her brother Jack attended school at Oaks Mission High School and graduated from Oaks.

On May 24th, 1961, she married J.L. "Ticket" Barnett in Tahlequah, OK. This union was blessed with three children, Crystal, Susie, and Luke.

Judy worked as the Post Master at the Leach, OK post office, then she worked as the cook at the Leach Elementary School, making the students her famous crusty beefeaters and her homemade rolls.

When she wasn't at work, you could find her with her favorite people in the whole world, her grandchildren.

She was a gifted seamstress and made the clothes for her entire family. She crocheted rugs, and loved a good chat on the phone. She was happy all the time.

She liked the occasional night out with her family and friends at the casino.

Any event that included her grandchildren was the absolute best of moments for Judy. Her husband passed from this life on June 20th, 2006.

She was a Baptist by faith and baptized at the Southeast Baptist Church in Pryor, OK. The Lord called this kind and loving mother and grandmother from her labors on December 23rd, 2015 in Tahlequah, OK with her family by her side. Judy was 73 years old.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, her husband "Ticket", and her brother Jack, in 2005.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Crystal Thompson of Tahlequah, OK, Susie Barnett of Leach, OK, and Luke Barnett and wife Cyndi of Leach, OK. Her legacy lives on in her grandchildren, Jake Barnett and wife Mindy of Tahlequah, OK, Steven Thompson and Kaylee Brewer of Leach, OK, Kaity Teehee and husband Andrew of Broken Arrow, Jessica Thompson of Owasso, and Shayla Alston and husband Joe of Leach, OK.

Her great grandchildren include Lindsay, David , Allyssia , Ethan, Rowan, Colt, and Parker, as well as many nieces, nephews cousins and a host of friends and loved ones.
