He is preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Ann Allen, his brother Clyde Allen and his brother Jerry Allen.
Jim was employed as a Psych Tech at the PDC in Porterville for 31 years. After retiring, he devoted his time to his family, his hobbies of wood working, fishing, camping, and traveling. He was a generous man, always willing to step up and help. When he would walk in a room, there would always be a smile on his face and the most beautiful blue eyes that would sparkle like stars. Throughout his life here in the Porterville area he proudly attended Springville Baptist Church and Hillside Community(AKA: EV Free) where his love for God grew stronger every day. He was a wonderful Husband, a loving Dad, and a very proud Grandpa. He will forever remain in our hearts.
Please join us in celebration of Jim's life.
Viewing will be at Myers Funeral Service on Thursday, November 12th from 3:00-7:00pm. A graveside service will be Friday, November 13th at the Frazier Valley Cemetery (Ave 196 between Strathmore and Springville) at 10:00am, immediately followed by a lunch reception at Grand Ave Methodist Church, 776 W Grand Ave, Porterville(corner of Indiana & Grand).
