Dallas E. Kohls, 98, of Heritage Manor, died at 2:15 am Tuesday, Oct. 8, 1996, at Heritage Manor.
There will be no services or visitors at this time. Mr. Kohls donated his body for research to the University of Iowa, Iowa City.
Mr. Kohls was formerly employed by the Illinois Central Railroad for 40 years until his retirement.
He was born on Nov. 28, 1897, in Guttenberg, Iowa, son of Edward and Alvina (Baltes) Kohls. He married Olive M. Baldwin on Sept. 24, 1918 at Elkader, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Olive M. Kohls, on March 29, 1990; and an infant son, Frederick.
