GREENWOOD TOWNSHIP — Linda L. Hays, 39, of Greenwood Township, passed away at 11:18 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, in the Emergency Department at Meadville Medical Center. She was 39. Linda was born in Meadville, on July 5, 1976, a daughter of John E. and June E. (Grinnell) Hays.

She was a graduate of the Conneaut Lake High School and had been employed as a Support Specialist at Child to Family Connections, Meadville. She was an avid NASCAR fan and also enjoyed stock car racing and truck and tractor pulling, often videotaping events that her brother, Ed, and nephew, Ryan, were participating in. She often assisted her father in organizing and managing local car shows. She loved anything purple, was a collector of skunks and had enjoyed traveling.

She is survived by her mother, June E. Hays, of Conneaut Lake; her father, John E. Hays, of Atlantic; her step-mother, Cathy Hays, of Atlantic; a brother, Edward Hays, and his wife, Rhonda, of Atlantic; a sister, Kimberly Bailey, and her husband, Ken, of Conneaut Lake; a nephew, Ryan Hays, and his wife, Heather, of Conneaut Lake; four nieces; Amber Hays of Conneaut Lake, Audrey Hays and her fiancée, Philip, of Edinboro, Renee Miller and her husband, Daryl, of Conneaut Lake and Ashley Bailey and her fiancée, Jason, of Conneaut Lake; one great-niece, Kaidence Hays, three great-nephews, a very special cousin, Patricia VanDusen, of Fredonia and many aunts and uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a cousin, Albert “Bert” Hays.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015 at 11 a.m. at the Robert L. Snyder Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 3223 Perry Hwy., Sheakleyville. The interment with committal prayers will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery, Atlantic.
