Services for Edgar Arnold, 85, of Huntington, will be held at the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sims/Rocky Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Arnold was born November 15, 1929 in Ewing, Texas, the son of the late Nettie (Denman) and Perry Arnold. He went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2015.

Mr. Arnold was retired from Brown Express in Dallas. He was a husband to his late wife Jewel, and a devoted father, Papa, and Great-Papa. He presently lived in Huntington, Texas and was a former resident of DeSoto, Texas.

He was a member of New Life United Pentecostal Church of Huntington. Mr. Arnold served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Jewel Arnold; daughter, Sheila Annette Ridgle; and grandson, Christopher Shane Ridgle.
