Eugene Louis Sternberg, husband of Eldene Johnson Sternberg, died Dec. 25, 2015. He was born in Davenport, the sob of the late Louis Sternberg and Magdelena Wurster Sternberg. Mr. Sternberg was a U.S. Army World War II veteran, having served in the European Theater. He was also a retired policeman in Davenport, after 36 years of service.
Mr. Sternberg is survived by his wife; son, Bob Sbell (Brenda) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Robert Frederick Snell Jr., Angela Eldene Snell, James Eugene Snell, and Reta Lynn Higgins; five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mr. Sternberg was predeceased by his parents; son, Aaron Dean Snell; and sister Avalon Sternberg.
