Charlotte Lee Garrett, at age 80 of Phoenix, AZ went to be with the Lord on Dec 18, 2015 @ home. She was born April 19, 1935 to Jesse & Mabel Spencer. She enjoyed serving the Lord and communing with her church family at North Phoenix Baptist Church. Charlotte traveled with her husband and family all over the US & Europe as a military spouse whose husband proudly served his country. Her love was teaching preschool children for 40 some odd years prior to retiring in 2005. She also enjoyed camping/RVing and her many dogs, some of whom are with her in heaven (oh what a reunion that must have been!) Charlotte collected teddy bears & gave them to students, friends and neighbors. Charlotte will be missed by her husband of 58 years, Don, 2 children Denise Reeser and Donna (Terry) Beckner; 3 grandchildren, Jason Reeser, Krystal Varick and Zack Beckner; 5 great grandchildren, Kassidy & Vandon Reeser, Kallista Denton, Milana Harder and Nicholas Varick. In addition to her father & mother she was preceded in death by her brother Clyde Spencer. A heartfelt "THANKS" to caregiver Mel Coll and nurse Linda Thomas. A Celebration of Life will be held Dec 29th at 10:00am @ Chapel of the Chimes. Committal service to follow at 1:30am located @ the VA National Memorial Cemetery of AZ.
