Mrs. Sherry Denise Wood, age 45, of Buchanan, GA, passed away suddenly on Thursday, March 31, 2011. Mrs. Wood was born on March 2, 1966 in Bartow County to her parents, Billy Boston & Joan Crowe Johnson. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Boston; her grandparents, Lindsey & Mozell Boston and Coleman & Lucille Crowe; her uncle & aunt, John Boston & Martha Boston. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Wood; her mother, Joan C. & Gordon Johnson; her son & daughter in law, Jody & Ahren Wood; her daughters & son in law, Michelle & Michael Bailey and Crystal Curtis; her brother & sister in law, Derrik & Kathleen Boston; her sister, Connie Palmer; her grandchildren, Mystee Bailey, Mychaela Bailey, Morgan Williams, Caitlynn Clemons, Halee Wood and Bradley Curtis; her great grandchildren, Madison Mathis & Mackenzie Mathis; a number of nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sherry Denise Wood will be conducted on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home with the Rev. Joey Martin officiating. Interment will follow in the Dugdown Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, April 2, 2011 from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Lester C. Litesey Funeral Home.
