JoAnn Reed, 71, of 120 Downey Drive, Chambersburg, passed away Saturday, June 20 at home. She was born July 4, 1937 in E. St. Louis, IL to the late Ruth and Emmitt Bond. Her husband, James Reed died December 6, 1997. She retired as a CNA with 20 years service from South Mountain R.C. in July 1997. She was also a member of St. John's Church, Red Hat Society of Chambersburg, American Legion Post 46, V.F.W. of Chambersburg. Surviving are two daughters, Deborah Martin and Pam Mattison of Chambersburg; two sons, Charles Orr of Chambersburg, Wiley Tolbert, Jr. of Maryland; her sister and best friend Betty Tennallado; as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Aside from her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris and a brother, Roger. Memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11 at 11:00 AM at St. John's U.C.C., 1811 L.W.E., Chambersburg with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be held private at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Waynesboro. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John's U.C.C. or Lutheran Home Care/Hospice, 2700 Luther Drive, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
