Son of Mrs. Pauline Koczon who resided in Meriden, Connecticut.

Edward served as a Private, 169th Infantry Regiment, 43rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army during World War II.

He resided in New Haven County, Connecticut prior to the war.

He enlisted in the Army on March 12, 1941, prior to the war, in Hartford, Connecticut. He was noted, at the time of his enlistment, as being employed as a Machinist and also as Single, without dependents.

Edward was "Killed In Action" on New Georgia Island during the war.

He was awarded the Purple Heart.
