Imogene "Jean" Tilghman Carter, 83, of Lexington, widow of Charles Rankin Carter, passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015. She was born August 19, 1932 in Versailles, Kentucky to the late Hugh and Janie Ann Wainscott Tilghman. She was a member of Southern Acres Christian Church, retired from IBM and was the auditor at the former Phoenix Hotel. Surviving relatives include three daughters, Connie Carter, Patty Webb and Charlene Hunter; five grandchildren, Heath Baldwin, Heather Cherry, Kitty Webb, Michele Chamberland and Charlie Hunter; 15 great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Lexington, Kentucky.
