Harlan Cribbs (Cribb) Altman III, 63, passed away at his home in Dallas, TX, on Wednesday, August 24, 2011, following a lengthy battle with cancer. Cribb was born December 25, 1947, in Wichita, KS, to Harlan Cribbs Altman, Jr. and Virginia Phipps Altman. After graduating from Wellington High School, he attended the University of Kansas, graduating with a Masters degree in Architecture. He was a decorated veteran, serving as a Lieutenant in the US Army and was a recipient of the Purple Heart during the Vietnam War. Cribb was a Principal and Owner of the Lauckgroup, an architectural firm headquartered in Dallas, TX, until his retirement in 2010. Cribb is survived by his wife, Helen Burt-Altman. Also surviving are Pam Altman, sons, Harlan Cribbs (Cribb) Altman IV and wife, Kayla, and Chase Phillips Altman. He is also survived by his beloved granddaughter, Halston Anne Altman; father, Harlan Cribbs Altman, Jr, and brother, Harry K. (Kip) Altman all of Dallas, TX. He is also survived by step children Jonathan and Jill Burt, Amber and Jeff Coe, and Austin Burt ; step granddaughters, Kassidy, Brooklyn, Madyson, and Julia all of Dallas, TX He is preceded in death and was welcomed into heaven by his mother, Virginia Phipps Altman, who died earlier this year. Services are pending and a memorial fund is being established at Jesuit College Preparatory School, 12345 Inwood Rd, Dallas, TX, 75244 Dallas, TX. Cremation has taken place.
