Lorraine Anne Pennington Porter was born 27 August, 1931 to Adelaide Anna (Mekota) and Oliver Bryant Pennington of Morse, Iowa. Growing up, her nickname was Doogie. She was a loving wife and mother, a woman who filled her home with love and music.

She was married to William Lawrence Porter 5 June, 1952 until his death in 1999. She later married Richard Hudson, who preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Lebanon Chapter #259 in MO, taught piano lessons and did charity work through her church, Trinity United Methodist in Winter Haven, FL. She was lead singer in the "Joymaker's Funtime Band," a senior band that earned thousands of dollars to fund the church's food bank.

In addition to her husbands and parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers (David J. Pennington), (LaVerne O. Pennington) a sister (Pauline L. Kern) and one son (Robert J. Porter). Surviving are her loving son and daughter in law, Michael (Janet) Porter of Texas and her daughter in law, Debbie Porter of Missouri; sisters in law Marlene Pennington of Florida and Marilyn Pennington of Indiana.

She also leaves 5 loving grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

She departed this life 26 December 2015 in Houston, TX and will be greatly missed.
