Ernestine "Ernie" Barbiea, 93, of Newport, KY, formerly of Alexandria, KY, died Sunday, December 20, 2015 at Saint Elizabeth Edgewood.
She was a retired Administrative Assistant for the Hotel and Restaurant Employees and Bartenders International Union. Ernie was a Kentucky Colonel and a former member of the Kings and Queens Senior Citizen Club of Alexandria.
Ernie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Barbiea and a daughter, Lynda Barbiea (Tim Raine).
She is survived by a daughter, Sharyn Barbiea; two grandchildren, Ryan Suder (Matthew Stickler) and Christina Suder (Ward Washington); two great granddaughters, Madison and Riley.
Visitation Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM at the Alexandria Funeral Home, Alexandria, KY. Funeral Service Monday 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Saint Stephen Cemetery, Fort Thomas, KY.
