Imogene (Jean) Chidester Schaefer, of Lynn Haven, FL passed away Dec. 25, 2015. She had been a resident since 1955, coming from Ohio. Mrs. Schaefer was a retired secretary from Tyndall AFB and Coastal Systems Station. She was a member of the St. Andrews United Methodist Church, Esther Circle, and the Panama City Square and Round Dance Assn.

Mrs. Schaefer is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Suzanne Schaefer of Panama City; two grandsons, Jon Michael (Haylen Padgett) and Justin Schaefer of Panama City; sister, Sue Harris of Panama City.

She is preceded in death by her husband Edmund; parents, Roberta (Church) and Roy Chidester; sisters, Margaret Krull, Helen Shoemaker and Rilla Ann Chidester; three brothers, Charles, Bill and Marion Chidester; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial funeral services will be held at St. Andrews United Methodist Church Tuesday, Dec. 29th at 1 p.m. Family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of the church after the service. Donations may be made to Emerald Coast Hospice or to the .
