CONOVER Terry Welch, 52, of Conover, passed away in Watauga County.
Born May 2, 1961, Terry was the son of Rachel Wishon Welch and the late Johnny K. Welch. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, Terry is survived by two good friends, Russell Glover and Scott Martin;six aunts;and one uncle. A Service of Remembrance will be held Tuesday, June 25, at 11 a.m. at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bobby Petree officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Wishon, James Wishon Jr., Steve Beal, Jerry Stewart, Randy Stewart, Eddie Dellinger, Kenny Dellinger and Ginger Lee. The family will receive friends Tuesday, from 10 to 10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Western North Carolina Costa Rica Building Teams, 498 Hill Farm Rd., Hiddenite, NC 28636.
