(22 May 1913, Elk City Record, Elk City, Beckham Co, OK):

Death of A. J. Burnham. A. J. Burnham, of Clinton, father of our fellow townsman, I. C. Burnham, dropped dead in Butler last Friday. Mr. Burnham was an attorney for the C. & O. W. railroad and had gone to Butler on some business for the road. He was apparently in his usual health but when he had walked into town he was seen to drop to the sidewalk and died without a struggle.

Mr. Burnham was of a family of nine brothers and his was the first death
among them.
