Leslie "Les" L. Bowman, 75, Nemo, died Friday, September 1, 2006 at the Fort Meade Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

He was born October 3, 1930, in Pluma, SD, to Lyle and Anna L. (Keegan) Bowman.

After serving time in the Navy, Les worked in several different occupations. He was enjoying retirement on his "ranch" until Multiple Sclerosis too its toll on his body.

Survivors include his wife,2 daughters,3 stepsons, granddaughter,sister,2 brothers and his aunt.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jeff Bowman, sister, Charlotte Olson; brother Wil Bowman and son in law Paul Daniells.

Committal services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday September 7, 2006 at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis with Rev. Don Brendtro officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the Belle Fourche Honor Guard.

In lieu of flowers the family has established memorials to the Nemo Community Church or the Hospice unit at Ft. Meade.
