Bobby Charles McElwrath Sr was born on February 16, 1951 in Kennett, Missouri, the son of Robert McElwrath (7 Sep 1920-17 Dec 1984) and Maggie (Harper) McElwrath. [Residents of Kennett, Missouri, Robert and Maggie were married on April 20, 1946 in Arkansas.]
Bobby was married to Lana Fay Parsons.
He was employed as a machine operator at Thun Incorporated from 1979 until his retirement - due to his health - in 2002.
Bobby was baptized in the Baptist Church and was a member and past master of Palmyra Masonic Lodge 747. In his free time he enjoyed storytelling and fishing.
A resident of Bumpus Mills, Tennessee and formerly of Clarksville, he was 64 years old when he passed away on December 23, 2015 at Saint Thomas Hospital in Nashville.
Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, his infant son Bobby Charles McElwrath and by his brother Jerry McElwrath (1947-2013), while survivors included his wife; a married son; three married daughters; four sisters; eleven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Funeral Services were held at the chapel of Gateway Funeral Home. There was also a Masonic Memorial Service, and burial was in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
